Behind every great pizza is a story — and mine begins in the kitchen.
Coming from a family passionate about cooking, food was always more than just a meal in our home. It was tradition, connection, love, and laughter shared around the table. I grew up surrounded by family recipes, homemade sauces simmering for hours, fresh ingredients, and the belief that food brings people together in the best way possible. You could say the love for cooking runs deep in my blood.
Over the years, that passion naturally turned into experience. From learning family cooking techniques to mastering the fast-paced world of restaurant life, I developed a deep appreciation for authentic food — especially pizza. There’s something magical about creating food that makes people feel at home.
Today, I proudly carry that passion into Jim's Pizza and Pasta 1972, a beloved community staple that has been serving Northumberland County since 1972. As a mother and business owner, I pour my heart into every part of the restaurant — from creating delicious menu ideas and experimenting with new recipes to ensuring every customer feels welcomed like family.
Running a pizzeria is not always glamorous. It’s long hours, busy kitchens, flour-covered counters, ringing phones, and nonstop hustle — but I genuinely love every moment of it. The chaos, the creativity, and the connections with our customers are what make it all worthwhile.
Cobourg is a community that values authenticity, and that’s exactly what we strive to offer every single day: food made with care, tradition, and heart — never mass-produced, always personal.
At the end of the day, Jim’s Pizza is more than just a restaurant to me. It’s family, legacy, hard work, and passion baked into every slice.
